Contract Terms & Conditions

DICE Contract and Terms

DICE Wedding Films (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the diceweddingfilms.co.uk website and the production of Wedding Films (the “service”) for you (the “client”).

This section  informs you of our policies regarding our Contract and Terms.

A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable to book your wedding date, and the services and/or equipment of DICE Wedding Films. Half of the remaining balance for the agreed package is due within one week prior to the date of your wedding, and the remainder of the balance should be paid upon notification that the final film has been completed.

In the event that more than one client wishes to book wedding services on the same day, preference will always go to the first client to pay the agreed deposit. Rescheduled wedding dates will only be accommodated if the new date does not conflict with another booked wedding.

Exclusivity of Contract

It is understood that DICE Wedding Films will be the exclusive Videographer retained by the client to film the agreed event. Any and all conflicts with other video coverage contracts, and any notifications necessary to avoid such conflicts are the sole responsibility of the client.

Permission, Permits and Usage Rights

The client assumes all responsibilities for obtaining any necessary permission, clearance permits, etc., which may be required for DICE Wedding Films to tape the contracted event (public or private).

The client assumes all responsibility for obtaining and retaining permission for access to any requested camera positions and is solely responsible for the quality of the final production resulting from the use of, or inability to use, such camera positions.

The client warrants that they have the legal rights to anything DICE Wedding Films will videotape, including photos, musical recordings, videotapes, or any other materials delivered to DICE Wedding Films for inclusion in the client’s final film. The client agrees to indemnify and hold DICE Wedding Films harmless for any loss, damage, or liability for infringement of any rights arising from the use or sale of media that the client hires DICE Wedding Films to edit, duplicate or produce.

DICE Wedding Films reserve the right to use any videos for display, publication, advertising or other purposes. All edited and raw footage remain the exclusive property of DICE Wedding Films. All copyrights of said footage will be owned by DICE Wedding Films.

Contract Termination

DICE Wedding Films reserves the right to terminate the contract for any reason at any time up to the date of the event and will refund all monies paid by the client. Should the client terminate the contract, all money paid less the deposit will be refunded.

Editorial Control & Final Film

The client should make all efforts to view samples of DICE Wedding Films previous works, and make a critical decision based upon those viewed samples as to whether to use DICE Wedding Films for your event. Once the decision has been made to DICE Wedding Films, you will grant full editorial and production control to DICE Wedding Films for all aspects of the production, and all post-production services for the contracted event.

Should a particular segment of the event be either not recorded, partially recorded, or not a part of the final edited produced film/master, it is at the sole discretion of DICE Wedding Films as the exclusive producer of the event video recording to leave or remove this from the final produced wedding film. Changes requested to the final video after delivery to the client are charged at a rate of £50 per hour.

Failure to Comply

If DICE Wedding Films fails to comply with the terms of this agreement due to any event that is beyond the control of DICE Wedding Films, including but not limited to illness, accident, labour disputes, acts of God and other catastrophes, or uncontrollable and unforeseeable equipment failure, DICE Wedding Films liability is limited only to refund a percentage of or all monies received.

Using Your Property

All personal property provided by the client to DICE Wedding Films for the utilisation in the post-production of their Wedding film is received by DICE Wedding Films at the complete and total risk of the client. DICE Wedding Films will always make every effort to insure the safekeeping of the client’s personal property while in the possession of DICE Wedding Films and return the property/items to the client upon delivery of the final film.

Upon taking possession of the finished product, the client must inform DICE Wedding Films of any technical issues or other problems with the finished film within 7 days. After 7 days, if no notification has been received, the client will be deemed to be satisfied with the product.
